Keep Legal – avoid three point penalty
- It is an illegal offence to drive a vehicle with defective brakes, doing so carries a 3 point penalty which will stay on your driving licence for 4 years.
- According to the Dept of Transport, one in three road crashes occur because a vehicle fails to stop in time. Worn brake discs can dramatically increase stopping distances, sometimes with serious consequences.
